Since March 2022, John has been a member of SunPower’s Policy and Strategy team covering the Midwest. Prior to that, he spent six years in private law practice advising and representing national and local renewable energy businesses and associations in their pursuit of strategies to achieve regulatory and legislative goals in Illinois. While in private practice, he also worked part-time securing land leases and local permits for community solar projects in Illinois. John’s experience and interest in energy and utility matters stem from his nearly 18 years of service as an Administrative Law Judge at the Illinois Commerce Commission. John received his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Illinois State University.
