Cathy Syme is an accomplished and enterprising renewable energy asset manager and consultant with Fort Collins, Colorado-based Solas Energy. In her role with Solas Energy, Cathy performs due diligence on the development of utility-scale solar and wind projects, provides asset management advisory, and manages the RFP process for gigawatt-plus projects.

Cathy has over 25 years of domestic and international experience in project management, process implementation and improvement, financial reporting, contract negotiations, compliance, due diligence, and strategic planning. During her career, Cathy has facilitated the seamless transition of over 8 GW of wind and solar projects from development to operations. She has 17 years of hands-on experience in forming and leading high-performance commercial renewable asset management teams throughout North America, South America, and Europe, in addition to 8 years acting as owner and lender representative in her role as Senior Project Manager of Due Diligence with UL and DNV renewable consultancies. Her project management experience includes project closings, term conversions, repowers, mergers and acquisitions, and refinancing. Cathy is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Aberdeen University, United Kingdom.
