Evelyn Carpenter is the Co-Founder, CEO, and President of Solas Energy - US. Solas Energy provides third-party climate change, sustainability, project development, and project management services to the renewable energy industry. Solas Energy is one of the few consulting companies that operates as an in-house strategic development and project management partner for project developers and owners across the US and Canada.

Since its establishment in 2009, Solas Energy has consulted on over 100 GW of renewable energy and energy storage projects. This includes diligence reviews on more than 40 GW of wind, solar and energy storage operational projects and development assets. Additionally, Ms. Carpenter has built, from the ground up, multiple high-performing project and construction management teams will a full suite of capabilities, which have performed owner’s engineer, project, and/or construction management services on over 13.5 GW of wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

In her role as CEO for Solas Energy - US, she takes great pride in mentoring and developing a new generation of renewable energy professionals. She is committed to the professional development of the Solas Energy team and to bringing fresh talent to the industry by creating internship opportunities for students and mentoring individuals with diverse backgrounds. She exemplifies Solas Energy’s core values of innovation, integrity, and expertise. Evelyn holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, and an International MBA. She is a licensed civil engineer in the state of California.

Prior to entering the renewable energy industry in 2001, Ms. Carpenter worked for ten years in the petroleum, petrochemicals, and conventional power industries performing engineering, field engineering management, and project management. She is a classically trained project manager with a strong understanding of risk management, contracting, engineering, procurement and construction, construction means and methods, turnover, project operations, and maintenance.
