David Okuwobi – Nautilus Solar Energy, Business Development Director. David has over 11 years of experience in Business Development in the energy industry and Investment Banking experience in financial services.
Since transitioning to the Renewable Energy industry post-MBA, David has been responsible for executing more than 150MWdc of Letter of Intent (LOI) agreements for projects in New York, Maine, Minnesota, Hawaii, and other markets. At Nautilus, David focuses on the acquisition of development-stage DG projects and originated one of the company’s largest pre-operational community solar portfolios contributing to the overall solar asset growth.
Before joining Nautilus Solar Energy, David worked at AES Clean Energy and NextEra Energy in the Distributed Generation division focused on Mergers & Acquisitions for solar projects. At AES and NextEra, he led several acquisitions, supporting due diligence efforts, and negotiating transactional documents. Earlier in his career, he worked in financial services in New York City at J.P. Morgan, BNY Mellon, and Credit Suisse, in the Investment Banking division.
David has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Morgan State University and an MBA from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business.
