As Senior Director of the Nextracker supply chain team, Deepak is responsible for the Company’s global materials management team. This team forms the backbone of gigawatts of tracker product orchestration which involves moving close to 10 million parts on weekly basis from 90+ vendor locations around the world to over 150+ projects sites to over 30 countries. Since joining Nextracker in 2015, Deepak spearheaded the development of the materials management organization which includes (planning, procurement, and reverse logistics) from the ground up. From scaling the team from four people to a global organization of more than sixty staff with employee presence in India, China, Brazil, and Spain, Deepak is an experienced supply chain leader in the solar industry. Prior to joining Nextracker, Deepak worked at SunPower in various roles leading sales and operations planning, contract manufacturing and sourcing teams. Before SunPower, Deepak was at Yahoo Inc. Deepak earned his MBA from Georgetown University in Washington DC, and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Surat, India. He serves on the board of DripWorks Inc. which is a company focused to serve DIY gardeners and evangelizing water conservation.
