Description
Renewable Energy Evolution (REE) is answering the call for clean, affordable energy and equitable access by serving high energy demand industries as well as non-profit, municipal, and school facilities in low to moderate-income communities. With their finance partners, REE implements projects through direct purchases or Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to deliver the greatest value for their customers.
In the case of a direct purchase, REE serves as a trusted owner's consultant. They present a structured project plan with detailed financials and a clear roadmap to quickly recoup the project cost. REE also leverages and manages municipal, state, and federal incentives through various programs allowing the customer to focus on their business.
In the case of municipal, school, non-profit, and low to moderate-income projects it is often beneficial to structure the project as a PPA. In this scenario, the energy user does not pay any money for the generation facility and agrees to buy the energy at a dramatically reduced cost for a fixed term. It is common for the user to receive ownership of the array as a donation after the agreement is concluded with many good years of energy production left in the system.
The company was founded by Brian Maillet in 2019 to address a just transition to clean energy with an integrated approach that is founded on understanding the local market and conditions. This includes strong engagement of finance, end user, and contractor networks. REE quickly determines project feasibility through a methodical process of modeling and due diligence. Project execution is optimized through smart sourcing and oversight leading to predictable commissioning and operation. Finally, as a Renewable Energy Credit (REC) Approved Vendor REE manages operating assets with monthly filing for RECs and performance optimization, to ensure the original modeled concept is achieved or exceeded.
