Jared Policicchio is an experienced policy and regulatory professional focused on advancing Chicago's equitable environmental and energy priorities. Currently Jared serves as the Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer in the City's new Office of Climate and Environmental Equity. Previously, Jared served as Deputy Director of Policy and Senior Policy Counsel in the Chicago Mayor's Office. Earlier in his tenure at the City, Jared was a Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Chicago Department of Law where he managed the City's legal work related to energy and public utilities. Jared has also worked as a non-profit environmental advocate for the Environmental Law and Policy Center. Among other projects, Jared works with a team at the City to plan and implement the City's strategy for achieving 100% renewable energy use for City operations, which includes one of the world's largest airport systems and the largest water treatment plant in the world. Jared has a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and J.D. from Harvard Law School.
